In the exceptional setting of the medieval village of Issi geac, music takes to the open sky and becomes a meeting point between youth, musical excellence, and the European spirit. The evening, titled “La musique vue du ciel”, brings together young performers from the Conservatoire de la Dordogne and prizewinners of the renowned German national competition Jugend musiziert. Their presence in Issigeac represents an artistic vision oriented toward the future: that of a vibrant cultural Europe, shaped by emerging talent and a dialogue beyond borders.
The programme features works by Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Grieg – a repertoire that unites heritage and emotion, performed with the sincerity and intensity unique to the new generation. This initiative is founded on the belief that classical music, in all its richness, transcends language and nationality. It fosters exchange, mutual listening, and openness to one another. This open-air concert is intended as a symbolic expression of a shared cultural Europe, where musical tradition becomes a common language and space for encounter.
