Violoncello

Ferdinand Lepinat, born in 2011, received his first cello lessons at the age of 5.

Since 2018, he has been a student of Sibylle König, first in the gifted program at the Pankow Music School and, since 2023, at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School in Berlin.

Since 2020, he has regularly participated in Jugend Musiziert, winning first prizes up to the national competition. In 2023, he was the best cellist in his age group at the Carl Schroeder Competition in Sondershausen and also received a special prize. Also in 2023, Ferdinand won the Märkische Musiktage competition and a solo performance with the Prussian Chamber Orchestra.

In 2024, he received a scholarship for the Astona International master class in Zug (Switzerland) with Prof. Francis Gouton. In 2025, he was invited back, won first prize at the Märkische Musiktage in the fall, and performed with the Frankfurt (Oder) State Orchestra. In 2026, he participated in the international Cello Academy Colditz with Prof. Peter Bruns and received extended funding from the International Music Academy Berlin.

Ferdinand plays regularly in orchestras and various chamber music ensembles.
