Ferdinand Lepinat, born in 2011, studied with Sibylle König in the gifted programme at the Pankow Music School and later at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School in Berlin. In 2026, he was accepted into Prof. Peter Bruns’s class.
He regularly took part in the ‘Jugend Musiziert’ competition, winning first prizes right up to the national round. In 2023, he was the best cellist in his age group at the Carl Schroeder Competition in Sondershausen.
In 2023 and 2025, Ferdinand won the competitions at the Märkische Musiktage and gave solo performances with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (Oder) and the Prussian Chamber Orchestra.
He has attended masterclasses with Peter Bruns, Francis Gouton and Rebekka Firth, and performs regularly with orchestras and various chamber music ensembles.
