Raphael Elias Türk was born in New York in 2012 and has been living in Berlin since 2019. Since 2025, he has been attending the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music School in Berlin and taking piano lessons with Mikhail Mordvinov. Prior to that, he was taught by Yasser Mokhtar.

Raphael has won numerous prizes at national and international competitions, including “Jugend musiziert”, the Carl Bechstein Competition, the Clara Schumann Competition and the Concours International Junior de Piano Samson François. He was a finalist in the Steinway Piano Competition; in 2024, he also received the Carl Bechstein Foundation’s Special Prize.

He has been supported by the International Music Academy Berlin since 2023, and has received extended funding since 2026. He gained significant artistic inspiration through his work with Karla Haltenwanger, as well as through masterclasses as part of the Austrian Masterclasses with professors from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, and with Prof. Eldar Nebolsin and Prof. Galina Iwanzowa.

His repertoire ranges from works by J. S. Bach through the Viennese Classical period (Haydn, Beethoven) and the Romantic era (Mendelssohn, Chopin) to selected works of the 20th century. In addition to his work as a soloist, he regularly performs chamber music.
