Raphael Elias Türk was born in New York in 2012 and has lived in Berlin since 2019. Since 2025, he has been a student at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School in Berlin, where he receives piano lessons from Prof. Annika Treutler and ongoing artistic guidance from Karla Haltenwanger. Previously, he was taught by Yasser Mokhtar. He has been supported by the International Music Academy Berlin since 2023 and has received extended support since 2026. Raphael is a multiple prize winner of national and international competitions, including “Jugend musiziert”, the Carl Bechstein Competition, the Clara Schumann Competition, the Concours International Junior de Piano Samson François, and the Steinway Piano Competition (finalist). In addition, he received the Carl Bechstein Foundation's Special Prize in 2024. He received important artistic inspiration in masterclasses as part of the Austrian Masterclasses with professors from the Mozarteum University Salzburg and with Prof. Eldar Nebolsin and Prof. Galina Iwanzowa in the context of the International Music Academy Berlin. His repertoire includes works by J. S. Bach, the Viennese Classical period (including Haydn and Beethoven), the Romantic period (Mendelssohn, Chopin), and selected works from the 20th century; he also performs regularly in chamber music ensembles.
