Medeina Quintett – Ensemble

Medeina
Quintett

Fagott

The Medeina Quintet was founded in October 2023 and consists of students from the music academies in Hanover and Dresden.

The ensemble studied in Hanover with Ulf-Guido Schäfer (principal clarinetist of the NDR Radiophilharmonie) and received further chamber music inspiration from Bence Bogányi, Markus Maskuniitty, and Martin Spangenberg.

Since its founding, Medeina has focused particularly on performance opportunities in a university context. In 2024, it was also a guest of the Culture Connects association in Hamburg as part of the concert “Women in Polish Music.”

The members also gained chamber music experience with various youth orchestras, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, the Moritzburg Festival Orchestra, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, and the Young Euro Classic Festival.
